BUSHIRI WANTS GOVT TO SUPPORT GOSHEN CITY PROJECT

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri says his dream of creating the Goshen City is to market Malawi and the region to the world, boost the country and improve the quality of lives of the citizenry and people in the region.

Bushiri was speaking on Friday at a multi-stakeholder meeting organized by Goshen City Trust where Business captains, politicians and players in different sectors of life were in attendance.

Among others the ECG leader says currently various local and international companies have already expressed their interest to invest in Goshen City citing that about 900 people are planning to buy plots in Goshen City.

“This is not a one man project and for this am calling upon all stakeholders including government to invest so to boost the country’s GDP. We want government to support on the Goshen City project,” Shepherd Bushiri said.

Bushiri says Goshen City has already made a mark globally with over 4 million people already committed to the brand.

“Even before it’s completion, the city has already been visited by 3, 000 tourists in a group of 10 people, 7 know about Goshen City,” Bushiri narrated.

Among the numerous tourist attractions in the city is a “dancing fountain” which is the first of its kind in Malawi and one of the very few on the planet.

During the his official unveiling of the Mangochi Goshen City Bushiri announced that the City will create Jobs to over 100,000 people.

The City project which will be done in 20 phases and the first and second phase will be ready by December this year will generally have extensive systems for medical facilities, education facilities, housing, transportation, sanitation, utilities, land use, production of goods, and communication.

Meanwhile Minister of Local Government Professor Blessings Chinsinga has said he is optimistic that Goshen City will offer remarkable transformation of Monkey Bay, Mangochi which positions the Malawi’s tourist district, as a ‘must’ travel to destination in Africa.

Chinsinga then asked the business captains, private sector and foreign investors to take advantage of the of opportunities that the futuristic Goshen City is offering to conduct business.
