Police in Chiradzulu have launched a manhunt for a suspect, Gibson Lameck Nyakanyaka, who is believed to have killed his 4-year-old stepson.
The district’s Police Spokesperson Sergeant Innocent Moses, said that the incident occurred earlier this week after mother to the deceased, Teller Mwale, picked a quarrel with her husband.
Mosed said when the woman escaped, the suspect took his step-son to an unknown place where while there, he called his wife informing her that if she needed her son she must find him at Nguludi Mountain.
The suspect then went back home upon noticing that his wife would not follow him where he informed her to follow him to collect the remains of his son.
The mother, in company of well-wishers went to the mountain where they found the boy dead and postmortem indicated it was due to strangulation.
