FROM MALAWI TO NIGERIA: LOCAL POLICE RESCUES MAN TRYING TO COMMIT SUICIDE

Just like it happened in Malawi two weeks ago, police in Nigeria on Friday rescued a 29-year-old man from committing suicide by jumping into a lagoon.

According to reports, the officers where on routine during the time of the incident when they spotted Dauda Yakub sitting on the railing ready to jump off.

The officers then talked some sense into the man and finally he was convinced not to go ahead with his deadliest decision.

He was taken to a local police station where afterwards the law enforcers reunited him with his family.

The same thing also happened in Blantyre two weeks ago when police officers rescued a man who tried to commit suicide after climbing on ESCOM power transmission lines.

Police identified the man as 40-year-old Domingo Chilenje who resides in Makanjira.
