“GIVE THE MONEY TO THE POOR” – CUSTOMER TURNS DOWN FDH’ K1MILLION CASH PRIZE

FDH customer who emerged the winner during “Kukonza Tsogolo Promotion” has allegedly turn down K1 million cash prize today.

When Tiyese Kaimila, the Bank’s marketing officer, called the winner to break the news, he responded by devaluing the money, saying he has a lot of money and K1 million means nothing to him.

“I have money. In fact, I am going to buy a car now. There are a lot of poor people out there. Give the money to them, not me,” he responded.

FDH Bank senior manager under personal and business banking, Elizabeth Phoya, said “there are a lot of issues going around concerning fraud so it is normal to see someone being cautious with phone calls of this nature.

It is possible that the winner must’ve thought it was one of the calls from fraudster trying to deceive him.

Meanwhile, FDH has said that it will follow up with their official line and will ask the customer to go to one of their branch to collect the cash.
