Fourteen people have been shot dead in a tavern in Soweto, South Africa, two weeks after twenty two others were also found dead in a tavern.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, July 10 leaving nine others with guns wounds, according to Gauteng Police Commissioner Elias Mawela.
“It happened around 12:30 this morning, unfortunately, 12 died on the scene and another one died on arrival at Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital and the 14th one also died after admission,” Mawela told the press.
This comes barely two weeks after twenty two young people were also found dead on Sunday morning of 26 June in a tavern at Scenery Park in the area of East London in South Africa.
Police Spokesperson Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana, said police discovered the victims after receiving a report in the early hours of the said day.
The victims were all young people between 18 and 20 years old.
The motive for motive in both scenes has not yet been established.
