MALAWI MUSIC INDUSTRY LOSES CONTIEC FEW WEEKS AFTER THE DEMISE OF MARTSE

Few weeks after rapper Martse died, the Malawi Music industry has lost another talented fellow, Contiec from the old school clique FFT.

Dancehall artist, K1 who was one of the members from FFT has confirmed the sad development with newsbreezemalawi.com.

“He felt signs of Pneumonia then he collapsed. He was kicking well before the incident but he was however pronounced dead at the hospital, ” said K1 in an interview.

Contiec, real name Kondwani Kamwana was a rapper, singer and a producer for Soul Food Records.

Contiec progressed to be one of early urban musicians together with his partners, K1, Black Flame (now a gospel rapper) in a crew called FFT.

He has worked with various artists through collaborations and music production. 

Some of them include Blackjack, Gwamba, Mwanache, Tweeza, Blaze, NepMan, the late Mafunyeta , Mikozi CEO, Excess, Blacka Fella, Daredevilz, Kumbu, Jolly Bro, Fredokiss, just to mention a few

In 2008, with his crew FFT, they  released an album called “We Made It” which contained some hit tracks like, Mzinda Wanji, Ndiwe Wekha and Private Number among others.
