Police in Blantyre have arrested a 15-year-old boy from Mbayani Primary School in Blantyre for allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse with his partner from the same school who is 12-year-old.
According to Blantyre Police Deputy Spokesperson, Aubrey Singanyama who confirmed of the arrest, the two have been in a relationship for sometime.
“It is believed the two have had sexual intercourse 2 times,” says Singanyama.
Singanyama even suspects specific days when the s3x happened. One is August 31, 2022.
He explains why: “That day, the girl did not return home until September 1, 2022.”
The girl’s parents got alarmed and raised eyebrows over her absence. They quizzed her. She disclosed being at the suspect’s house.
This prompted the parents to report the matter to Kabula Police Unit.
Later, police intervened and arrested the suspect.
Singanyama says the suspect will appear before court soon to answer defilement charges.
