As one way of sharing what he has to others in need, musician Lawi has pledged to support girl child education during a listening session of his new album “The Thirties” in Lilongwe.
Lawi pledged 10% will be going to the girl child initiatives that he will be getting from every performance, So far from the session that was done in Lilongwe on 16 may 2022 thirty seven girls have been benefited already.
“I thought it wise to do this charity work as one way of appreciating how women work hard just to take the good care of their homes and children, so I will be directing 10% of my money from every event to girl child education.”
Lawi said his music is one of the tool that changes the mindset of people by bringing hope to those who are in deep pain.
“When I was composing this album I use the aspect of humanity, on how can I try to ease their mind to avoid depression and suicide thoughts, that why the song have songs that heal the souls.”
His third album will be launched in Blantyre at Mount Soche hotel on 6 July 2022.
