Nepman has revealed that an official from the Tonse-led government has asked his management to remove the video of his anti-Tonse anthem “Ng’ona Zam’mabango” from YouTube.
The singer made the allegations on his official Facebook page, a couple of hours after the video was released on YouTube.
“I am an artist not a politician or a puppet I am not gonna take the video down sir. Malawi is a free country. The song is based on reality, let that sink in,” the Na Lero star posted without revealing the name of the govt official.
It was in a matter of minutes that his fans flocked to the comment section to give him support and courage not to delete the video from YouTube as they concurred with him saying the message in the song is the truth of what Malawians are currently going through under Tonse leadership.
You may recall that the song teaser sparked anger from supporters of the current administration when it got released on social media a couple of weeks ago.
Following, the release of the song, some Malawians joined hands to offer the musician financial assistance towards the making of the video. The video has now garnered over 13k views in 13 hours on YouTube.
