POLICE APOLOGETIC FOR FIRING TEARGAS AT CHANCO STUDENTS

The development comes after police in Zomba on Friday fired teargas against students demonstrating over academic calendar concerns.

After presenting a petition, there was mayhem as some students wanted to showcase anger in the streets prompting police to fire teargas.

“On Monday we will have a meeting with student’s representatives, while we are investigating officer or officers that gave the unprofessional order.” Said the deputy police commissioner.
