In South Africa, six men have reportedly robbed a police station at a gunpoint stealing several guns, bullets and cellphones.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Wednesday night around 22:00hrs at Kwaggafontein police station in Mpumalanga.
Mpumalanga Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Semakaleng Manamela has since ordered mobilization of resources to capture the culprits.
He assured the public that police are doing everything possible to arrest the suspects.
“Currently, the investigation is ongoing and members of the media will be updated on the developments thereof,” police spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala told the press.
No officers were hurt during the robbery.
Kwaggafontein is the third police station to be robbed by criminals in a space of few months as other two police stations were also targeted before.
