Cameroon’s football-governing body Fecafoot is investigating 44 footballers on suspicion of faking their ages.
According to reports, most of the footballers are from amateur clubs and if found guilty, they are to be given a six-month suspension.
Fecafoot has also called to their hearing a number of club presidents who are accused of being complicit.
Not only in Cameroon, but age cheating is common in most African countries among footballers and other entertainers.
Cameroon in 2016 suspended 14 players days before the under 17 Africa Cup Of Nations.
Their real ages were revealed through MRI scans that provide detailed images of the inside body.
