A Chinese national has been robbed of K24 million after being attacked at gunpoint by thugs while at the gate of his house in Lilongwe.
The incident allegedly took place at area 3 at around 18:50hrs, police says.
The victim has been identified as Huang Jia Quan who runs a shop called HJQ in Lilongwe Area 1.
D9uring the attck, the Chinese national was approached by a gang of six men armed with AK 47 rifles.
“The criminals used Mazda Demio Grey in colour without number plate. While the reporter used Toyota Hilux van registration MH 6500,”a preliminary report says.
Police are analyzing CCTV camera footage to understand the hit.
