A new police unit has been established in Limbe Township as efforts are still being put in to minimize crime rate in the Township.

Commissioner of Police responsible for the Southern and Eastern region, Richard Luhanga said Police will make sure that Limbe becomes a crime free area.

Luhanga was speaking on Thursday at Limbe Township when Faiza Abdul owner of the newly built Pacific Limited building was handing over Limbe Market Police unit to Limbe Police.

Among others the Commissioner said the Police unit will help intensify security around Limbe as Police officers will be working round the clock in order to deal with outlaws.

He also said the facility will help people to report cases of crime immediately after happening.

Limbe Township is well known by street kids who mostly attack people during day light as well as at night.

Meanwhile Pacific Limited representative Misheck Kayuni told the press that the company believes that for the country to grow issues of security should be prioritized.
