NIGERIA POLICE RESCUES 77 PEOPLE AWAITING ‘SECOND COMING’ OF JESUS CHRIST

Seventy seven people including children have been rescued from a church in Nigeria where they were being kept after being allegedly told to expect the second coming of Jesus.

Police found the victims following reports of missing children who were among the people being held in the Whole Bible Believers Church in the Valentino area of Ondo Town.

Police press officer, Funmilayo Odunlami said they managed to arrest the church pastor, David Anifoweshe and his deputy.

‚ÄúPreliminary investigation revealed that one Pastor Josiah Peter Asumosa, an assistant pastor in the church, was the one who told the members that Rapture will take place in April, but later said it has been changed to September 2022 and told the young members to obey only their parents in the Lord,” said Odunlami.

In all, police said they rescued 26 children, 8 teenagers and 43 adults.
