CONVICT FATHER MUHOSHA DIES AFTER GOING MENTALLY ILL IN PRISON

One of the convicts in murder case of MacDonald Masambuka, a person with albinism has reportedly died.

Father Thomas Muhosha has died at Zomba Central Hospital where he was taken after showing signs of mental illness.

The Episcopal Conference of Malawi Secretary General Father Henry Saindi has confirmed.

Father Muhosha was among 11 suspects found guilty in the case of the abduction and murder of Masambuka.

The high court, last month handed him a 30-year jail sentence along with five others for transacting in human tissue.

Judge Dorothy NyaKaunda Kamanga delivered the ruling on June, 27th, weeks after 12 people were convicted for their roles in the murder of Masambuka for his body parts.

Cassim White Masambuka, the victim’s brother, Maxwell Sosola, Dixon Ndengu, Bashir Lilongwe, and Alfred Yohane were sentenced to life imprisonment.

Masambuka went missing in March 2018 and his body was later found buried in April 2018.
