Four criminals have been arrested by police in Blantyre for their involvement in burglary and theft cases around Chirimba and Chileka areas.
Police also recovered some items worth K2.5 million during the intelligence driven exercise.
Public Relations Officer for Chileka Police Station, Sergeant Jonathan Phillipo, identified the suspects as Fred Muleso, 27, Endrick Thomas, 47, Never Silver, 25 and Ganizani Mandozo, 36.
“The four suspects have for the past three months allegedly been breaking into houses and in the process stealing items but Chileka Police detectives hit the ground and netted them.
“The recovered items, some of which have been identified by the complainants include one mega power speaker, six plasma TV screens, Ipad, two home theatre systems, among others,” said Phillipo.
Phillipo said investigations are still underway to recover more items and arrest other suspects connected to the case.
