Two people have been arrested in Nkhotakota district for alleged illegal possessing of Marijuana.
Samson Phiri aged 23 and 27- year-old Christopher Maulidi were arrested at Kaombe Roadblock in the district, according to Nkhotakota Police Station Deputy Spokesperson, Sergeant Chisomo Chuma.
“The suspects were in a bus from Mzuzu to Blantyre on the M5. road. In the process of searching, police officers came across two traveling bags full of the illicit drug”, said Chuma.
Maulidi hais from Mdunga Village while Phiri comes from Dambanjonga Village in the area of Traditional Authority Zilakoma in Nkhatabay district.
