SUSU FINED IN ZAMBIA FOR UNLAWFULL ENTRY

Susu, a 27-year-old Chinese national who is wanted by Malawi police for exploiting children has been fined in Zambia for unlawful entry into the country after he fled from Malawi.

Susu has been convicted and fined K13 000 (equivalent to MK779,000.00) by Magistrate Mercy Chibo sitting in Chipata Magistrate Court for two counts of unlawful entry and unlawful stay in the country.

Susu, real name Lu Ke fled the country after a BBC investigation that exposed him as a man who had been filming Malawian children in Lilongwe and selling the demeaning videos for profit in China.

Currently, the Malawi authorities are working with Zambian authorities to have him back in Malawi so that he can be prosecuted.
