In Zambia, a teacher in Mpika district has reportedly gone into hiding after impregnating a pupil.
According to a statement by Muchinga Province Commanding Officer Kaunda Mubanga, the suspect is Chrispine Mwale of Kapamba Secondary School.
The teacher is accused of defiling a 15-year-old girl on several occasions in “different lodges within Mpika.”
Mr Mubanga has said the suspect started going out with the teenager last year in June and was recently discovered pregnant.
This is the second case police in Muchinga are investigating involving a teacher accused of sexual abuse in less than two days.
Earlier on Monday Mr Mubanga said police had launched a hunt for a teacher accused of raping a 20-year-old woman in Shiwang’andu district.
Mr Mubanga named the suspect as Aubrey Hamaluba who took advantage of the lady when he found her alone at his fellow teacher’s house.
