A 42-year-old woman has been arrested by police in Salima for stabbing wife to her divorced husband during a church service.
The incident occurred on Sunday, August 7, at Katelera CCAP in the district.
Salima Police spokesperson, Jacob Khembo identified the suspect as Mary Laudon.
“Facts gathered show that the victim, Emily John, together with her husband went to the prayer house for a church service.
“While inside the church building, the suspect, who is also a member of the congregation, sat closer to the victim and later stabbed her four times on the neck,” Kembo told the press.
It is said other congregants rescued the victim and rushed her to Salima hospital where she is receiving medical treatment.
