The fast rising Malawi’s ‘RnB’ singer Driemo has finally released his first official music video “COMPENSATION” following a massive outcry from his fans.

Since he managed to gain fame through his life relating love concepts, fans have been on Driemo’s neck to at least come up with a music video as his face has never been witnessed in motion on TV.

It wasn’t until recently when the artist announced the news to his fans that he was about to grant them their life wish by blessing them with a music video which is off his new song “COMPENSATION.”

Driemo admits he’s always been nervous to shoot videos

“You have always supported me on the music I have released. I have always been nervous to shoot music videos. This is my first ever official music video,” Driemo posted as he shared his new music video.

According to him, this is the second song he has so far released this year.


Driemo, real name Shafie S. Phir is labelled as one of the most talented upcoming Artists in Malawi currently.

He started his music Journey in 2017 in Nkhotakota where he was usually featured to do Choruses on people’s songs.

In 2018 he recorded His first single titled ‘So good’ which was produced by Superfly. After there, he then recorded his most singles in 2018 to 2020 under the name of Smart P before He changed to Driemo.

After Changing to Driemo, he released an EP in 2020 titled ‘Love Letter’ which was produced by Taktic.

He then released his next songs in 2021, the likes of Mtendere, Because of you, Tebulo Duma, Love you more and No insurance.

According to him, his Dream is to take Malawian music industry to greater heights and become one of the most influential Artists in Malawi
