Demonstrators in Ntcheu have given President Lazarus Chakwera ultimatum of 14 days to respond to their concerns following a protest they organized in the district today.
The demonstrations were organized by a grouping of concerned citizens called “Dzuka Ntcheu.”

They were protesting among others against high cost of living and the district’s poor development.
Spokesperson for the group, Biles Ntsinambuto, says the Chakwera-led Tonse led administration has let down Malawians owing to unfulfilled campaign promises.
The delivered a 4 point petition at Ntcheu district commissioner’s office.
Receiving their petition, Ntcheu District Commissioner, Francis Matewere, assured he will deliver the petition and commended the protesters for conducting the protests peacefully.
According to the grouping, the protesters will return to the streets if their concerns are not addressed by the President.
